Harry Egan
Singer/Songwriter/Performer
Harry Egan is here to celebrate your smile.
Harry Egan writes therapeutically thought out lyrics driven by hopeful melodies to create songs that inspires him. Located in San Francisco, Harry writes and produces all of his own music in the bedroom he grew up in. Through his Indie Rock/Pop music, Harry turns his shows into a celebration, with one goal in mind: no matter how you felt coming to the show, whether it was the best day of your life or the worst, you leave with a smile.
“Harry, your show was the most joyful and welcoming show I have ever been to in my life”
Harry Egan began writing songs in his home in San Francisco. He would stay up banging loudly on his family’s piano until 3am each night, trying to create the songs and sounds he heard in his head. Music was always a secret love, and a hidden super power that allowed Harry to know that he had something to say and he was special. Every night after a rush of high school homework, Harry discovered Pop music and artists Jon Bellion, Jack Antonoff, Elton John, and Lorde. This turned into his new homework. Each night he would go home and watch production and songwriting videos of these artists, learning to perfect his craft everyday. He knew this is what would be the focus of his life. Music was the greatest therapeutical outlet Harry had ever experienced, and every day since, he has been writing songs in order to inspire others and his fans, with the message to teach people that songs can become memories that tell your story.
In 2014, Harry started his own band and after writing original own music, he booked shows for the group in independent venues in San Francisco like Yoshis, Sheeba’s Piano Lounge, and school events like his high school’s prom. Throughout high school, Harry was always singing. From co-directing the A capella group and liturgical choir, to starting school band showcases, to roles in his school’s musical theater productions like Marius in Les Miserables, Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street, and Baby John in West Side Story, Harry was always singing.
Harry graduated from Stuart Hall High School in San Francisco, CA and went straight onto a flight to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA studying and learning from the best faculty and peers at one of the most prestigious programs in the country. Throughout Harry’s college career, he has continued his study of songwriting and has co-written songs for artists such as Start the Fire by Sophie Egan, Drown in the Fire by Ian Kimmel, Embrace by Mackenzie Day, and many more. While working as a producer and songwriter for other artists, he has been chosen for mainstage performances at the Berklee Performance Center such as Perfect Pitch, Singers Night, Curtain Up, West Side Story and other shows at Berklee throughout his career.
Harry’s solo music has reached over 100,000 streams on Spotify from his debut EP What I Learned, Won’t Burn Me by ABRAM (ft. Harry Egan), and Superman by Harry Egan and Ian Kimmel.
Harry’s life is dedicated to music and is currently working on his debut album Sleeping in my Shoes, a 12 track self-written, performed, and produced album that includes a solo live performance by Harry Egan. All of the songs were written, recorded, and produced between 2-5am and the atmospheric and devastatingly hopeful sounds of the music reflect the emotions that happen between these hours. Songs are like memories, when you write one, you can hold that memory forever. Harry plans to do this for the rest of his life.
Harry Egan’s Debut EP “What I Learned” was released on May 27th, 2018. Harry wrote the music and lyrics to six songs that potrayed the lessons he has learned in his life. Each song was a different experience and memory that Harry grew from as a person, that made him into the person he is today. He shares these six songs with the world, which were all recorded during 2-6am recording sessions. The songs come from an influence of 80s Pop, Irish Folk, and Classic Rock.
Harry Egan co-writes and produces with other artists for their music.
Working with other people for their music inspires him to work on his own. A number of these artists have taken the songs they worked on with Harry Egan and have released them under their artist name. This is a major part of Harry’s life and he is excited to continue to work on it
